Why I enjoy it
The thread
Travel has always felt less like a hobby and more like a thread running through life. Growing up as an army brat across Germany — Dortmund and Paderborn — made moving around feel normal from the start, and that early restlessness never really left. Southampton is where the story began, and North Yorkshire is where home is now. In between, Colorado stands out as the place that shaped the most formative professional chapter, and Thailand holds an even more personal memory — it is where Brendan got engaged. Mauritius came next, for the honeymoon, and it delivered everything an island should. The yellow dots fill in the rest: European cities, long-haul escapes, American road trips. Each one added something.
